Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Technical Systems Administrator / Application Deployer to join our client’s technology operations team in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application deployment, system administration, quality assurance checks, and SQL trigger management. This role involves hands-on technical work to ensure smooth deployment and maintenance of enterprise applications in a secure, high-availability environment. Key Responsibilities • Manage and execute end-to-end application deployment processes, including build packaging, version control, and release management. • Perform QA checks and validation before and after deployments to ensure application stability and functionality. • Create, maintain, and troubleshoot SQL triggers, stored procedures, and scripts to support application and database operations. • Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to coordinate release schedules and resolve deployment-related issues. • Ensure system configuration, security compliance, and environment consistency across all environments (Dev, QA, UAT, and Production). • Automate deployment workflows using industry-standard tools and scripting languages. • Monitor and analyze application performance; provide support for incidents related to deployments and environment setup. • Document deployment procedures, configuration changes, and rollback plans to maintain strong operational transparency. Required Skills & Qualifications • 8–10+ years of experience in system administration, application deployment, or release engineering. • Proven expertise in application packaging and deployment automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Octopus Deploy, or similar). • Strong understanding of SQL databases, with hands-on experience in writing and debugging SQL triggers, stored procedures, and queries. • Solid experience with Windows/Linux administration, environment management, and system monitoring. • Familiarity with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket) and CI/CD pipelines. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; strong attention to detail in deployment validation and QA checks. • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams. Preferred Skills • Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments with change control processes. • Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Shell, Python, or similar). • Exposure to cloud-based deployments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus. • Knowledge of ITIL processes or certification is desirable.
