Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid) Duration: 12+ Months Employment: W2 Only (No C2C) Job Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud platforms, automation, monitoring, and reliability engineering, with a passion for improving system performance and developer productivity. Key Responsibilities: • Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi. • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes. • Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or New Relic. • Implement and enforce security best practices across infrastructure and deployment workflows. • Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to ensure smooth and reliable software delivery. • Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem processes to improve system resilience. • Optimize cloud infrastructure costs and performance (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform). • Automate routine operational tasks and improve system observability. • Define and track SLOs, SLAs, and error budgets to ensure service reliability. • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to DevOps/SRE best practices and culture. Required Qualifications: • 11+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure roles. • Strong experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go. • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps. • Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration. • Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet). • Familiarity with Git, version control workflows, and Agile methodologies. Nice to Have: • Experience with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd). • Exposure to chaos engineering and resilience testing. • Certifications in AWS, Azure, or Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD). • Experience in high-availability, low-latency, and mission-critical environments.
