M365 Project Suite Administrator – Configuration & Tenant Support 2. Job Summary / Overview Serves as DOT’s technical authority for architecting, configuring, and sustaining the MS 365 Project Suite tenant. Implements discrete OA workspaces, role‑based security, dashboards, and integration with the broader M365 ecosystem while ensuring Section 508 and cybersecurity compliance. 3. Duties & Responsibilities · Execute tenant build‑out and OA segregation using findings from Discovery & Assessment. · Draft and implement Pilot Implementation, Configuration, and Roll‑out Plans. · Configure role‑based permissions, custom fields, views, and Power BI dashboards; align with future migration to Project for the Web. · Deliver admin training, SOPs, and knowledge‑transfer artifacts. · Support production roll‑outs, monitor onboarding, and resolve deployment errors. · Provide status inputs and metrics for bi‑weekly reports. · Contribute to Transition Plan, Configuration Design Document, and Lessons Learned. · Ensure configurations comply with DOT security controls, privacy mandates, and ICT accessibility standards (36 CFR §1194). Secondary Responsibilities · Produce technical documentation, scripts, and runbooks. · Advise on integration with Teams, Power Automate, and legacy MS Project versions. Reporting Structure · Reports to: Project/Task Manager. · Interfaces with: DOT OCIO technical leads, OA power users. 4. Mandatory Required Qualifications · Professional Experience: o Proven hands‑on configuration and administration of Project Online and/or Project for the Web in large, multi‑bureau environments. o Must have worked at U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) before either as a contractor or an employee. · Skills & Competencies o Deep technical expertise in Project Online/Project for the Web and Power Platform. o Scripting and system‑administration abilities for secure, scalable architectures. 5. Preferred / Optional Qualifications · Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant (PL‑200) or equivalent. · ITIL®, CompTIA Security+, or comparable credential. · Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field. · Experience developing Power BI executive portfolio reports. 6. Work Environment & Conditions · Work Location: On-site at DOT Headquarters, 1200 New Jersey Ave SE, Washington, DC 20590. · Schedule: Full‑time; core hours with after‑hours maintenance as required. · Travel: ≤ 5 % for onsite pilot or rollout support.
