Senior Windows Engineer in Washington, DC Clearance: Public Trust Candidate must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder who has resided in the U.S. for at least 3 years and the ability to obtain a public trust Experience: • Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience administrating and managing servers and systems, cloud infrastructure, file and print environments, specializing in Windows operating systems. Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and SQL Server. Must possess a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) - Server Infrastructure or equivalent. Duties: • Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Windows Server infrastructure, to include, oversight of Active Directory and SQL Server. Provides leadership to the Windows Server team, overseeing activities within server imaging, Active Directory management, and SQL Server. Responsible for incident management as it relates to Active Directory and SQL Server. Performs advanced troubleshooting of complex system issues. Works primarily in a virtualized environment. Job Summary : The Senior Windows Engineer position will provide Windows engineering support and will be responsible for building, patching, and troubleshooting Windows servers in support of current and future systems and applications. This candidate will be working with a team of server engineers to troubleshoot issues for multiple systems in multiple datacenter locations. The Senior Windows Engineer will provide support, implementation, and design services for Windows-based systems across the enterprise. The candidate will be responsible for resolving and completing assigned tasks and change requests and will act as an escalation for support issues. The candidate will also be responsible for applying new solutions through research and collaboration with team members and will be advising on course of actions for new application initiatives. Job Duties: • Manage Windows OS-based computer devices through Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, registry and files system security as needed. • Administer systems infrastructure both on-premises and in the cloud • Collaborate with other team members to perform server patching and maintenance • Evaluate hardware and software purchases • Manage 2000+ servers across multiple field site locations. • Strong knowledge in Active Directory (Windows 2016 thru Windows 2022) • Manage and lead systems and infrastructure projects • Follow existing incident, problem, release, change management processes. • Support existing server infrastructure in a 24x7 on-call escalation capacity as part of a team rotation • Provide high level technical support for Tier-3 issue escalations/tickets • Design and implement Citrix solutions • Managing and monitoring a Citrix platform • Troubleshooting Citrix related issues • Remediating security vulnerabilities detected within the Citrix environment Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Windows Server 2016, 2019 and 2022 • Active Directory management • Active Directory Group Policy • Active Directory Certificate Services • Active Directory Federation Services • Azure Active Directory • Windows Failover Clustering • Widows File and Folder sharing • Windows Print Services • Microsoft Hyper-V • VMware vSphere • VMware vCenter • Azure Cloud Services • PowerShell Preferred Skills: • Citrix XenApp • Citrix platform experience (troubleshooting and security) ABBTECH is an EOE/Minorities/Women/Disabled Individuals/Veterans
