Job Summary The Head of Data and Analytics is responsible for leading the company’s solution architecture, data engineering, and analytics team. This position will have expertise in architecture, engineering, and analytics. This position will collaborate with business units to deliver powerful tools, analytics, and reporting, ultimately improving decision-making at all levels. This position will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing data team. Additionally, this will be a critical leader in transforming the company into a data-led organization, leveraging insights and analysis throughout the business and fostering a data-centric company culture. Essential Functions Statement(s) • Develop and implement a data strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives. • Lead and manage the data and analytics team, including data architects, engineers and analysts, to ensure the successful execution of data initiatives and projects. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, operations, product management, and business intelligence to align data architecture initiatives with business objectives. • Define and implement data architecture best practices, standards, and guidelines to ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of our data infrastructure. • Develop and maintain data models, data dictionaries, and data lineage documentation to facilitate data governance and compliance. • Translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for improved customer experience, network optimization, product development, and marketing effectiveness. • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance our data architecture capabilities and drive innovation. • Drive continuous improvement in data quality, integration, and management processes to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. • Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance, feedback, and opportunities for growth and development. • Other duties as assigned. Skills & Abilities Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field. An equivalent combination of training, certifications, and experience may be substituted for degree requirement on a year for year basis. Preferred: Master’s degree. Experience: Twelve (12) years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related role, preferrable in the telecommunications industry. Experience leading and managing teams, with a focus on driving results, fostering collaboration, and developing talent. Experience with modern data solutions (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake or Databricks).
