Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive System Administrator to manage and optimize our IT systems with a core focus on Microsoft 365, Single Sign-On (SSO), Mobile Device Management (MDM), macOS support, and network infrastructure. This role will play a critical part in ensuring secure, seamless, and efficient access to technology resources across the organization. The ideal candidate is experienced in Microsoft 365 cloud services (Azure AD, Intune, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint), identity and access management, enterprise endpoint support (macOS, Windows, mobile), and modern automation practices. This is a hands-on technical role with a balance of daily support and strategic systems improvement. Key Responsibilities: 1. Microsoft 365 Administration • Manage users, licenses, groups, and access in Azure Active Directory. • Configure and maintain Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive. • Monitor service health, implement DLP, retention, MFA, and compliance policies. 2. Identity & SSO Management • Implement and maintain Single Sign-On (SSO) using Azure AD, SAML, OAuth, or OpenID Connect. • Integrate new applications with identity platforms and enforce Conditional Access. 3. Mobile Device Management (MDM) • Administer Microsoft Intune for laptops, phones, tablets (iOS/Android). • Configure compliance policies, deploy applications, and manage BYOD/corporate device security. 4. macOS Support • Provide expert-level support for macOS systems in an enterprise environment. • Integrate macOS devices with IT infrastructure using tools like Jamf, Kandji, or Intune. 5. Automation & Scripting • Use PowerShell, Bash, or Power Automate to streamline tasks (e.g., onboarding, reporting). • Maintain and document reusable scripts and automation workflows. 6. Service Desk Oversight • Manage the IT ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk). • Ensure SLAs are met, improve workflows, and generate support performance reports. 7. Systems Monitoring & Maintenance • Monitor systems and apply regular patches/updates across M365, identity services, and endpoints. • Support backups, disaster recovery tests, and system security audits. 8. Documentation & Training • Maintain accurate and current system documentation, SOPs, and user guides. • Provide training to IT staff and end users for new features or updates. 9. Security & Compliance • Work with the security team to enforce access controls, privileged access management, and IT policies. • Assist with audits and ensure adherence to compliance standards. 10. On-Call Rotation • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for critical incidents and after-hours emergencies. Required Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Experience: 5+ years in system or cloud administration with M365 focus. • Skills & Knowledge: • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Azure AD, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint. • Hands-on with SSO integration and identity protocols (SAML, OAuth). • Strong PowerShell scripting and automation capabilities. • Experience with macOS administration and tools like Jamf, Intune, Kandji. • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls). • Familiarity with ITSM systems and service desk operations. • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications: • Certifications (highly desirable): • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Modern Desktop Administrator (MD-100/MD-101) • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Security Administrator, or SC-300 • ITIL v4 Foundation • Bonus Skills: • Familiarity with Okta, Ping Identity, Defender for Office 365 • Experience with Azure Automation, Power Automate, Ansible, Terraform • Linux server administration and scripting (Bash, Python) • Networking certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network+) • Project Experience: Proven contributions to IT projects such as M365 migration, company-wide MDM rollout, or enterprise SSO implementation.
