Job Summary The M365 Entra Solutions Architect will spearhead the design, implementation, and enhancement of Microsoft Entra identity and access management solutions for our clients. This position focuses on creating secure, scalable, and compliant identity infrastructures utilizing Microsoft Entra technologies, including Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, and identity governance. The architect will also serve as a technical leader, guiding customers through complex deployments and integrations across hybrid and cloud environments. This is a remote position with home office arrangements as determined by SHI management. Role Description • Architect and implement Microsoft Entra solutions, such as: • Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) • Identity Governance • Privileged Identity Management (PIM) • Entitlement Management • Access Reviews • Lifecycle Workflows • Application integrations with Entra (SAML, OIDC, SCIM, WSFED, Application Proxy) • Deployment of Entra GSA (Global Secure Access) • Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR) • Conditional Access policies • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) • External Identities • Lead identity modernization projects including migrations from legacy identity systems to Microsoft Entra. • Design and enforce Zero Trust security models utilizing Microsoft Entra. • Develop and automate identity lifecycle processes leveraging PowerShell and Graph API. • Work collaboratively with security and compliance teams to ensure regulatory alignment. • Provide technical leadership in customer engagements, facilitating workshops, assessments, and roadmap planning. • Deliver best practices, documentation, and knowledge transfer to clients. • Support pre-sales initiatives by scoping, estimating project efforts, and presenting solutions. • Troubleshoot complex identity and access issues in hybrid and cloud settings. • Drive revenue growth by identifying new opportunities and enhancing service offerings. • Engage with sales teams to ensure cohesive service delivery and client engagement. • Contribute to practice development by pinpointing growth areas and leading innovative initiatives. • Maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners to ensure satisfaction and retention. • Provide thought leadership and insights on advancements in technology to clients and SHI teams. • Analyze current business processes for improvement based on industry trends. • Stay abreast of new technologies, advocating for updates and retirements of legacy solutions. • Guide strategic customers on their Microsoft 365 projects, including greenfield deployments and business transformations. Skill Level Requirements • Deep understanding of Microsoft Entra architecture and functionalities. • Strong knowledge of identity protocols (SAML, OAuth2, OIDC, WS-Fed). • Experience integrating HR provisioning solutions with Entra and Active Directory. • Proficient in implementing SCIM provisioning within existing applications. • Solid understanding of secure external network access. • Experience with hybrid identity and directory synchronization. • Strong project management and communication skills. • Aptitude for translating business requirements into effective technical solutions. • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical capabilities. • Strong documentation and presentation skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment. Other Requirements • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. • 5 years of technical experience with increasing responsibility. • 3 years of experience designing and implementing Microsoft Entra or Azure AD solutions. • 3 years of experience in identity and access management (IAM) within enterprise settings. • 3 years of experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Graph API). • Willingness to travel occasionally. Certifications: • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (or equivalent). • Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (preferred). Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with Microsoft Entra Permissions Management and Workload Identities. • Familiarity with Microsoft Defender for Identity and Microsoft Purview. • Knowledge of third-party identity providers and federation services. • 2+ years of experience in an architect-level role. The base salary for this position ranges from $108,000 to $144,000, with estimated on-target earnings (OTE), inclusive of base salary and bonuses, ranging from $135,000 to $180,000. Compensation is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location, and may vary among individuals.
