Microsoft Power Platform Application Consultant (Contract / 1099) Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid) Company: Gibbous LLC About the Role Gibbous LLC is seeking a Microsoft Power Platform Application Consultant to guide our internal teams and clients in the configuration and deployment of scalable, future-ready business solutions. This role is both strategic and hands-on, focused on designing and enabling flexible Power Platform environments that support multiple, evolving business use cases. You’ll advise on architecture, build modern applications and workflows, and establish best practices that ensure adaptability and sustainability over time. This is not an IT support position — it’s a consultative role centered on helping organizations leverage Microsoft’s Power Platform to achieve operational efficiency, automation, and data-driven insight. Key Responsibilities • Lead the design, configuration, and optimization of Microsoft Power Platform environments for scalability, flexibility, and long-term maintainability. • Develop and configure Power Apps and Power Automate solutions that streamline and standardize diverse business processes. • Integrate Power Platform tools with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Dataverse, and external APIs or data sources. • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into effective Power Platform prototypes and solutions. • Define and implement best practices for environment management, data architecture, governance, and security. • Provide strategic recommendations on environment setup, scalability planning, and how the Power Platform aligns with broader digital workflows. • Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor to help teams configure, maintain, and enhance Power Platform ecosystems. Qualifications • 1–5+ years of experience developing, configuring, and deploying Microsoft Power Platform solutions. • Proficiency in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Microsoft Dataverse. • Demonstrated experience integrating Power Platform with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and external data sources or APIs. • Strong understanding of solution lifecycle management, environment governance, and data flow architecture within the Power Platform. • Excellent communication, documentation, and consulting skills — able to clearly guide non-technical stakeholders through design and decision-making. • Microsoft Power Platform certification preferred (PL-100, PL-200, or PL-400), but not required.
