Position Summary True Solutions is looking for a Senior Power BI Developer who transforms data into meaningful insights through powerful dashboards and reports that support strategic decision-making. As our Senior Power BI Developer, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of BI solutions, enabling business leaders to visualize trends, track KPIs, and uncover data-driven opportunities across multiple functions. You will play a critical role in architecting scalable data models, shaping visual analytics standards, and mentoring junior developers. Job Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Power BI in a professional environment • Deep expertise in DAX and Power Query (M language) • Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and relational databases • Ability to design and develop end-to-end BI solutions, from data ingestion to visualization • Experience working with cloud platforms like Azure (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Synapse, SQL Database) • Familiarity with integrating Power BI into enterprise environments (gateways, embedding, Power BI Service) • Proficient in performance tuning and optimization of reports and dashboards • Experience working in Agile development environments • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems) Personal Skills • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Excellent communication and presentation abilities • Attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy and quality • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities • Collaborative mindset and experience working cross-functionally with business and technical teams • Willingness to mentor and share knowledge with junior developers] Professional Experience • 5+ years of professional experience in BI development, specifically using Power BI • 4-year college degree in a related technical field • Experience leading Power BI projects and guiding data visualization best practices • Previous experience working with business stakeholders to translate requirements into visual solutions • Involvement in governance practices such as version control, documentation, and data security • Exposure to data pipelines and ETL tools, especially in Microsoft ecosystems • Experience in industries such as retail, healthcare, or finance is a plus Technical Experience • Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power BI Report Server • DAX, Power Query M Language • SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, Synapse • Dataflows, Composite Models, Row-Level Security • REST APIs and Power BI Embedded • Git or other version control systems • Tools like Excel, SSIS, SSAS, or similar for supporting data workflows • Familiarity with Python or R for advanced analytics (a plus) Compensation • Competitive compensation • 16 paid days off and 10 paid holidays per year • Comprehensive benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and 401(k) • Paid training and advancement opportunities Equal Opportunity True Solutions, Inc is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
