As a Systems Administrator, you'll work closely with the IT Manager as part of a dynamic two-person IT team. This role offers hands-on experience, continuous learning, and clear opportunities for advancement. Your initial responsibilities will include: • Help Desk Support: Provide responsive technical assistance to users via multiple channels. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues - with a focus on accounting applications and industry-specific tools. • System Administration: Manage/Administer user accounts, security settings, and access permissions. Ensure systems comply with industry regulations and uphold best practices for data privacy and confidentiality. • User Training and Documentation: Create and deliver training sessions and user guides to help staff effectively utilize technology and follow internal processes. • IT Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Stay informed on relevant regulations (e.g. data privacy, financial reporting, cybersecurity, etc.). Assist in implementing policies and controls to ensure compliance. • Willing to support team needs with occasional after-hours availability when required. Preferred technical background: • Windows Server/Domain Administration: Active Directory, Group Policy Management, Hyper-V, Configuration, Monitoring, Maintenance, and Troubleshooting. • Microsoft 365 Administration: Hybrid Azure AD, Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online. • Device Management: MDM, Intune, BYOD. • Security and Identity: MFA, SSO, Defender for Endpoint, Windows Hello, Certificate Services, Policy Creation and Management. • Networking: SonicWall Firewall, NetExtender, DHCP, DNS, VLAN configuration and troubleshooting. • Project Management: Planning, Documentation, and Communication. Educational and Skill Requirements: • Associate degree (or higher) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Two years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree. • Strong understanding of computer systems, hardware, software, and networking fundamentals. • 5+ years of experience in technical support and troubleshooting. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
