What You'll Do in This Position The hourly base rate of pay for this internship starts at $18.00, and may increase based on major and class standing. Job Duties & Responsibilities The Summer Intern will be responsible for assisting with the development, implementation, and improvement of analytical solutions in support of diverse functional areas across SRNS. The Data Management and Analytics Summer Intern must have the ability to multi-task, be well organized, reliable, work both independently and with a team, and exhibit strong analytical skills. The Data Analyst Summer Intern will: - Collaborate with end users in various departments and disciplines to assist with the design and implementation of analytics solutions. - Assist in the development and dissemination of SRNS human capital metrics. - Assist in the maintenance of the human capital dashboard. - Identify and propose improvements/automatization in daily activities. - Assist with compiling reports, tracking trends, and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPI) - Participate in special projects with other teams - Assist with ad-hoc reporting - Assist with creating data visualizations using Power BI and/or Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) - Assist with cleansing and analyzing large data sets A successful candidate must be able to utilize all basic computer skills and provide administrative and data support to the Data Management and Analytics Team. The Data Analyst Summer Intern will have an opportunity to work with other departments within IT and subject matter experts across several organizations throughout SRNS including but not limited to Safety, Workforce Services & Talent Management, Engineering, and Operations. Qualifications We Require Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5. Must be a full-time student at an accredited four-year college or university, or within one year after finishing a degree program. Must have completed freshman year of college. Must successfully complete Savannah River Site General Employee Training and substance abuse processing. Other Qualifications Unofficial transcripts are required and must be uploaded into BrassRing before the job posting closes.
