Power BI Developer Contract Length: 6 months (with potential for extension) Location: Waltham, MA Hybrid (2 days/week onsite) Must Haves: • Minimum 5 years of Power BI development experience • Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL • Experience with relational databases and data modeling • Familiarity with Azure data services (e.g., Synapse, Data Lake) • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field • Solid understanding of data governance, performance tuning, and visualization best practices Plusses: • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry • Background in R&D dashboard development • Ability to lead requirements workshops, demos, and training sessions with non-technical users The role is divided as follows: • 50% Power BI development • 30% Dashboard creation • 20% Data modeling You will work closely with business users, analysts, and data engineers to gather requirements, define KPIs, and deliver impactful data visualizations. Key Responsibilities: • Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports • Create data models using Power BI Desktop, DAX, and Power Query • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define KPIs • Manage data connections and transformations, and optimize performance • Implement row-level security and ensure adherence to data governance standards • Schedule and publish reports to Power BI Service and manage workspaces • Troubleshoot data issues and provide support to end-users • Maintain documentation for dashboards and data processes Employers have access to artificial intelligence language tools (“AI”) that help generate and enhance job descriptions and AI may have been used to create this description.
