Phononic is seeking an experienced programmer/analyst/manager to lead the Manufacturing Systems Team for our U.S. and Thailand based sites. The position is based in Bangkok, Thailand but will require some overlap with eastern U.S. working hours to interact with leadership and the U.S. based IT team. This is a working manager position which includes both leadership and individual contributor components. The Manufacturing Systems Lead will work with business leaders to plan and prioritize activities that support operational goals for Phononic’s global manufacturing organization. This includes core manufacturing systems (MES, Database), shop floor infrastructure (Workstations, Label Printing, Tool Backups), and advanced manufacturing solutions (Tool Automation/Integration, Automated Visual Inspection using AI and Machine Learning). Duties Include • Provide guidance on strategic and tactical directions for the company with regards to Manufacturing Systems. • Work with business leaders to prioritize objectives. • Direct resources from Phononic, contract manufacturers, and 3rd party vendors in the accomplishment of those priorities. • Use your programmer/analyst skills to work as an individual contributor towards the completion of assigned projects and daily tasks. • Provide first level IT support for Thailand based team, escalate issues to local vendors. Requirements General Requirements: • 10+ years of experience in IT with 3+ years of experience in leadership roles • Bilingual; English and Thai, proficiency with both written and verbal forms • Ability to travel internationally (5%): USA, China, Thailand Expertise In The Following Technical Areas • Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) • Stored procedure development using Microsoft T-SQL • Automated Inspection using Machine Learning & AI Familiarity With The Following Technical Areas • Factory Automation (SECS/GEM) • Cybersecurity and Network infrastructure • Azure cloud-based solutions • Data sharing/movement across multiple sites Experience with IT Management and Leadership • Vendor management and contract negotiation • Team management and project/task prioritization Working with contract manufacturers
