Our client is seeking a visionary Lead Cloud Infrastructure Architect to design, implement, and manage highly scalable, reliable, and secure cloud environments. This is a fully remote position where you will be instrumental in shaping our cloud strategy and ensuring the optimal performance of our infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure automation, and DevOps practices. You will collaborate with engineering teams to define cloud solutions that meet business objectives and drive technological innovation. Responsibilities: Design and architect robust, scalable, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Develop and implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates. Establish and enforce cloud security best practices, governance policies, and compliance requirements. Lead the migration of existing on-premises workloads to the cloud. Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and management of applications and infrastructure. Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, and cost, implementing optimizations as needed. Provide technical leadership and guidance to cloud engineers and operations teams. Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues. Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies and services to enhance capabilities. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture and procedures. Ensure high availability and disaster recovery strategies are in place and tested regularly. Collaborate with software development teams to ensure infrastructure meets application needs. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years focused on cloud architecture and design. Deep expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including their core services (compute, storage, networking, databases, security). Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. Strong understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Extensive knowledge of networking concepts, security principles, and best practices in cloud environments. Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
