This individual should be creative, an excellent communicator, and possess an acute understanding of how to use data to tell a compelling story. Responsibilities • Translate information from multiple sources (analytic results, market intelligence, cultural understanding, etc.) into actionable insights that provide clear guidance and recommendations to drive business strategy and decision-making. • Convey complex data through persuasive narratives, reports, and presentations using effective storytelling techniques that resonate with leadership and other stakeholders. • Apply data visualization principles and tools to create impactful insights for decision makers, reducing the time needed to interpret information and enabling quick understanding of key issues and actions. • Partner with leadership, data scientists, and analysts to advance predictive and prescriptive analytics initiatives. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling data stories that inform strategies and recommendations. • Design, develop, deploy, and enhance dashboards, reports, and analytics tools to support functions such as targeting, cross-selling, client reviews, events, practice development, planning, and strategic growth. • Build analytics-driven solutions that address business challenges; identify patterns within datasets; and train end users to ensure adoption and value realization. • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that track key business metrics. • Analyze large, complex datasets using statistical methods and visualization tools to support data-driven storytelling. • Monitor and evaluate data sources, ensuring accuracy and reliability of analyses. • Maintain a strong understanding of client businesses, industry issues, and relevant developments to inform analytics and insights. • Conduct research using internal systems and external data sources to support analytic efforts. • Collaborate with users across functional areas to answer data-related questions and support ad hoc analysis projects. • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data science to continuously improve storytelling and analytics strategies. • Work closely with teams such as innovation, knowledge management, finance, strategy, marketing, HR, IT, and operations to meet analytics needs. • Support the establishment of standards, guidelines, and best practices for reporting and analytics. • Assist with documenting and maintaining a glossary of metric definitions used across business analytics tools. • Mentor and train junior analysts. • Perform other duties as required to support organizational goals. Requirements Education • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in data science, statistics, communications, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Experience • Required: 5+ years in data analysis, data visualization, and data storytelling with proven ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences. • Desired: Experience working in consulting, legal, or other professional environments that involve communicating complex issues to business stakeholders. Technical Skills • Proficiency in: • Microsoft Office Suite • SQL for database querying • Statistical analysis tools such as R or Python • Data visualization tools (Tableau preferred) • Advanced Excel for data analysis • Familiarity with: • Machine learning and statistical modeling techniques • Data visualization best practices • Project management tools • Data warehouses (Snowflake preferred) • Wireframing, UI/UX principles, and UAT processes Additional Skills • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation and education. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. • Ability to manage shifting priorities with effective time management. • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with innovative solution design. • Quick learner with adaptability to new technologies, industries, and tools. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across organizational levels. • Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information. • Calm under pressure with sound decision-making ability. • Innovative mindset with a drive to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
