A fast-growing Credit Risk Management company is looking for a talented Vendor Liaison / Data Analyst professional to join the Analytics team. You’ll partner with Finance, Risk, and Operations to translate business questions into data-driven insights and support modeling/algorithm initiatives (including basic machine-learning workflows) that improve production and collections performance. You will also liaise with vendors to enact these improvements. Communication skills are of high importance. Responsibilities • Accurately analyze and collect data for various types of business reports • Create business reports that provide insight into key data points • Analyze data to identify changes in financial and business trends • Communicate the results of data analysis in written and verbal form to managers from other teams • Partner with Finance to quantify P&L impact (CPL/CPA, loss forecasts, collections KPIs). • Support development, validation, and monitoring of predictive models (logistic regression, gradient boosting) and reason codes. • Design and evaluate A/B tests and champion–challenger strategies; measure incremental lift. • Automate recurring reporting with SQL/R/Python and, when appropriate, machine-learning pipelines. • Create clear, executive-ready narratives and dashboards to communicate insights and recommendations. Requirements • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, economics, finance, accounting or mathematics • 1-3 years of experience as a financial, business or data analyst • Ability to use SQL and Microsoft Excel to create pivot tables, graphs and charts • Experience in SQL, R or Python • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively relate data to coworkers and managers • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently • Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines • Experience in consumer finance/credit risk or lending analytics preferred. • Familiarity with statistical modeling and machine learning methods (logistic regression, decision trees, gradient boosting) a plus. • Proven ability to communicate complex analyses to non-technical stakeholders.
