Job Details: Job Description: As a DevOps Senior Technical Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the vision, architecture, and implementation of end-to-end DevOps infrastructure and services. You will join the Software Production Engineering and Services (SPES) team, which provides validation and DevOps services to the Altera software community. This role offers a unique opportunity to design and deploy modern CI/CD solutions for enterprise customer software products such as Quartus Prime. A key responsibility will be to reorganize and modularize a large, existing codebase to better align with modern DevOps tooling and practices, improving maintainability, scalability, and automation across the software lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with development and validation engineering teams to define infrastructure requirements for build, test, release, and reporting automation. Key Responsibilities • Architect and implement scalable DevOps infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. • Lead the modularization of a large legacy codebase to support modern DevOps workflows. • Define and enforce best practices for build, test, release, and monitoring automation. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver robust solutions. • Drive adoption of containerization, orchestration, and cloud-native technologies. • Ensure security, reliability, and performance of production systems across on-prem and cloud environments. Salary Range The pay range below is for Bay Area California only. Actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including job location, job-related knowledge, skills, experiences, trainings, etc. We also offer incentive opportunities that reward employees based on individual and company performance. $178.9- $259.0 USD #LI-CG1 Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering. • 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or related roles. • Strong programming skills in Python or other major languages; understanding of OOP concepts is a plus. • Experience developing and maintaining complex C++/C/Java applications in Unix/Linux environments. • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, TCL, Bash or JavaScipt. • Deep experience with Makefiles and build automation tools. • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab). • Familiarity with software development lifecycle, debugging, and utility tools. • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Perforce, SVN). • Experience with container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker). • Experience with monitoring, logging, and analytics tools. • Strong understanding of security best practices and DevSecOps principles. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with FPGA or ASIC tools and flows. • Background in EDA-class software development or infrastructure. • Technical leadership in software architecture or DevOps transformation initiatives. • Experience with hybrid cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
