Overview We are seeking a skilled Release Manager to oversee the planning, scheduling, and coordination of software releases. This role is critical in ensuring that our software products are delivered on time and meet quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, release management processes, and a deep understanding of various technologies and tools used in the industry. Duties • Coordinate and manage the release process for software applications across multiple environments. • Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely delivery of software releases. • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the deployment process. • Monitor and report on release progress, identifying any potential risks or issues. • Conduct system testing and quality assurance to ensure software meets specifications. • Manage incident response and recovery processes during release cycles. • Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams including development, QA, and operations. • Maintain documentation related to release management processes and procedures. Skills The ideal candidate should possess a combination of technical skills and experience, including but not limited to: • Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and CI/CD practices. • Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, and OpenStack. • Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, Groovy, C#, Go, Perl, Shell Scripting (Bash), SQL (including T-SQL), PL/SQL. • Familiarity with enterprise software tools like SVN, GitHub, GitLab, JIRA, Maven, Gradle. • Understanding of IT infrastructure components including firewalls, networking (TCP/IP), virtualization (VMware), and system administration (Linux/Windows). • Knowledge of database management systems such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle. • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum) and IT project management practices. • Strong troubleshooting skills for software deployment issues and incident management.
