What You'll Be Doing: • Play a key role in our Platform Engineering organization, managing a broad range of cloud infrastructure and application solutions. • Design, implement, and oversee containerization solutions using Docker and Kubernetes, with an emphasis on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Container Apps (ACA). • Develop and sustain continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines utilizing GitHub. • Collaborate with software development teams to successfully containerize existing applications for deployment on Azure. • Automate the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized workloads on Azure. • Adhere to best security practices to ensure the integrity of containerized workloads. • Partner with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to advance Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code initiatives. • Stay informed about the latest industry developments and technologies in containerization. • Document processes and configurations related to our containerization strategies thoroughly. • Provide mentorship to team members in microservice architecture and container orchestration. You Will Need This to Succeed: • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure and at least 5 years of overall cloud-native DevOps experience. • A DevOps/SRE mindset with a knack for debugging complex systems to address problems at their core. • A commitment to identifying and eliminating manual processes through automation. • Proficiency in a scripting or programming language, preferably PowerShell or Python. • A strong passion for and creativity in using automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform. • Proven experience and expertise in managing container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and Docker. • A deep understanding of deployment methodologies for Kubernetes, particularly with ArgoCD and Helm. • Familiarity with other Azure services, including Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure Service Fabric. • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines that integrate a Git strategy (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, GitLab CI/CD, BitBucket Pipelines). • Knowledge of Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR API) and Azure Health Data Services (AHDS). • Experience utilizing agile methodologies (such as Scrumban) for project management. • Strong communication skills with a high level of transparency. • Bonus: Familiarity with other CNCF projects like Dapr, Flux, and KEDA. • Low ego and a collaborative spirit. The expected base salary/wage range for this position is $110,000-130,000, with eligibility for a performance-based bonus.
