Founded in 2015, PHIL is a Series D health-tech startup that is building a platform that interfaces between doctors, pharmacies, and patients to streamline the process of patients receiving prescriptions. Phil’s B2B2C platform provides an end-to-end prescription management and delivery service. Our robust platform connects patients, prescribers, pharmacies, and manufacturers, enabling easy and affordable access to medicine. Through its digital stakeholder experiences, patient access services, market access solutions, and distribution models, pharma manufacturers can deliver affordable and timely therapy access to patients, resulting in more patients staying on their treatment plans longer. Location: Remote (with occasional travel to pharmacy/warehouse locations) As a key member of our growing IT team, you'll work alongside current team members to maintain and optimize our critical IT infrastructure. This hands-on role focuses on the day-to-day administration of our systems that support our nationwide operations across multiple pharmacy and warehouse locations. You'll be responsible for ensuring system reliability, performance, and security while maintaining the high standards required for healthcare data protection and HIPAA compliance. Understand and improve the existing IT ticket management process to better support onsite and remote team members needs and issues with proper SLAs Take ownership of all the internal IT and security systems and build a roadmap to maintain, upgrade and replace as needed Automate the management of services and devices located in-house and with remote workers. Write automation scripts to gather data from the devices and run needed actions. Support Tier-1 IT tickets from our internal team members Manage and drive vendor relationships around IT services, equipment and other special projects Handle day-to-day IT tickets from employees within the defined SLAs but also understand the nature and trend of different tickets to make strategic changes to the IT roadmap and plan Help with employee onboarding and offboarding. Monitoring daily operations, including server hardware, software, and operating systems. Coordinating technology installations, upgrades, and maintenance Selecting and purchasing new and replacement hardware and software, when necessary Testing, troubleshooting, and modifying information systems so that they operate effectively Remaining up to date with advances in technology, industry best practices, cybersecurity trends, threats, and regulatory requirements to help the company Establish a process to work closely with a compliance team to do risk assessments, internal audits for gaps and do analysis to identify potential security weaknesses and recommend appropriate remediation measures Educate employees on IT best practices around security, such as Phishing, working from home etc Prior working experience of at least 5 years as an IT Manager or relevant experience Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems - Windows, Mac, Linux Experience with managing devices using JAMF and Microsoft Intune Working experience with writing and executing PowerShell or similar scripting languages Experience working with Azure Cloud, especially Entra ID (Active Directory), Windows Server, and Azure VPN Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation Experience working with Cisco Meraki or similar equipment Experience with managing Google Workspace/GSuite Experience working with JIRA Service Management or similar ticketing tools Strong creative and analytical thinking BS in Computer Science, MIS or similar field Good understanding and experience of implementing controls and mitigating risks related to one or more of GDPR, PCI, HIPAA and other information security and data privacy standards Experience conducting risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing Ground floor opportunity with one of the fastest-growing startups in health-tech Full benefits (medical, dental, vision) Professional development opportunities and certification support
