Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for a Pre-Sales Solutions Consultant. The Pre-Sales Solutions Consultant provides pre-sales technical consulting to clients, advising on Lenovo Data Center, networking, cloud, and security solutions. This role works closely with sales teams to design tailored solutions, identify opportunities, and drive partner growth, while staying current on certifications and technology trends. This is a remote position and offers a quarterly bonus plan! Key Responsibilities • Conduct pre-sales consulting, assessments, and technical solution design based on client needs. • Serve as a subject matter expert on Lenovo Data Center, networking, cloud, and security offerings. • Collaborate with Account Managers, partners, and sales leadership to identify and close solution opportunities. • Advise on pricing programs, deal registration, and solution strategies. • Educate and coach sales teams on solution technologies, partner offerings, and growth tactics. • Maintain certifications, stay current on new technologies, and attend industry training. • Support pipeline management and forecast to meet monthly recurring revenue targets. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 4+ years of experience in IT solutions or technical consulting (8 years preferred for full proficiency). • Strong knowledge of advanced technologies including servers, storage, networking, cloud, and security. • Proven experience in pre-sales consulting, project delivery, and channel/partner management. • Certifications preferred: VMware Technical Solutions Professional (VTSP), Lenovo Data Center Technical Sales, Lenovo Cloud Solutions. Skills • Excellent communication, client-facing, and presentation skills. • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and account planning abilities. • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Teams, and relevant business systems. • Organized, self-motivated, and results-driven with strong execution skills.
