Position: Full Stack Developer – Public Sector Systems Modernization Working Model : Remote Description: Education and Certifications: • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. (Required) • Certifications: HIPAA Training, PII Training Minimum Experience: • System Developer with 5-7 years of experience in React, Node, Express, and SQL • Expert in React.js, Node.js, and Express.js and/or Next,js • Expert in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL • Extensive experience working with the Azure Cloud platforms • Experience with Okta integrations (specifically within React/Node applications hosted in Azure) • Familiarity with MS Access 2016 and VBA • Experience working in an Agile environment using Azure DevOps (ADO) • Expertise in refining requirements, technical documentation, and cross-team collaboration Skill and Experience (Desirable): • Experience developing and modernizing applications for state human services or child and family systems, ideally within the context of modernization or migration from legacy platforms (e.g., MS Access to cloud-based systems). • Experience working on projects for the State of Vermont or other State Government agencies is highly preferred. • Demonstrated experience migrating legacy databases (e.g., MS Access 2016) to modern SQL or Azure environments with minimal downtime. • Prior experience working with Azure Cloud services such as Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure App Services, and Azure DevOps pipelines. • Ability to work in an Agile development environment and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams using Azure DevOps (ADO) for sprint planning, backlog management, and code repository management. • Strong track record in cross-team collaboration and working alongside state IT staff to implement technical solutions aligned with project charters and business cases. • Demonstrated capability in requirements refinement, technical documentation, and developing high-quality deliverables that align with State review and acceptance criteria. • Experience in supporting system integrations, data migrations, and secure data access protocols in public sector or healthcare settings.
