Insight Global is seeking a Senior Database Developer for a local state agency. This position will play a critical role in supporting enterprise-level database systems and ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SQL Server and a strong background in database design, development, and administration. The pay rate for this role is between 47-50 an hour, based on the candidate years of experience. Responsibilities: Design and develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support application interfaces Architect and normalize relational databases to ensure scalability and maintainability Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and debugging of SQL Server databases Implement and manage AlwaysOn Availability Groups for high availability and disaster recovery Develop and maintain technical documentation for database systems and processes Ensure data security through database- and column-level encryption Work with XML and JSON formats for data exchange and integration Support data integration using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) in Visual Studio Create and maintain reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) 2012 or later Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application development and deployment Troubleshoot and resolve locking/blocking issues and other database-related problems Write re-entrant production release scripts for safe and repeatable deployments We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
