Key Responsibilities • Manage and support enterprise SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. • Configure, maintain, and optimize databases, including installation, upgrades, backup/recovery, and performance tuning. • Work closely with application and data teams to design database architectures and drive modernization initiatives. • Develop, monitor, and maintain ETL processes, data warehouse integrations, and BI/reporting workflows. • Monitor and optimize query/job performance, manage user access, and support ITIL-based processes (Incident, Change, Problem). • Document system configurations, research emerging database technologies, and perform after-hours support or special projects as needed. Qualifications : Education/Certification: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred). • Microsoft SQL Server certifications (preferred). Required Experience: • 5+ years of hands‑on experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator. • 5+ years of Windows Server administration, tuning, and troubleshooting experience. • Proficiency with backup/restore operations, schedulers, and automation tools. • Experience using SDLC and Agile methodologies. • Strong understanding of High Availability concepts (Always‑On, Clustering, Database Mirroring, etc.). Other Skills: • Expertise in database architecture, application development, data modeling, and data warehousing. • Ability to extract, connect, and transform data from multiple sources for business intelligence and analytics. • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and build effective working relationships across teams. • Must pass a criminal background Fingerprint check upon hire.
