Title: Sharepoint Architect Location: Los Angeles, CA Type: Contract Job #: 20865 Note: This job is (not) open to C2C or 3rd party candidates. Position Information: Our client is seeking a talented Sharepoint Architect. Responsibilities: • Develop, architect and collaborate on implementation of SharePoint-based information architecture strategies that align with business goals and user needs. • Create and manage metadata schemas, taxonomies, and content types to enhance information retrieval and usability. • Develop and maintain publishing workflows that allow content to be published across multiple sites, content types include Office documents, PDF’s, and/or SharePoint List items. • Conduct user research and usability testing to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement in SharePoint environments. • Develop and enforce governance policies and best practices to ensure the consistent and secure use of SharePoint across the organization. • Support design of role definition and supporting security groups to enable external and internal collaboration and secure information sharing. • Maintain comprehensive documentation of SharePoint architecture, configurations, and processes for reference and training purposes. • Design and support development of templatized sites and reusable components to support internal and external collaboration. • Function as a subject matter expert on the latest SharePoint features and functionalities and communicate business use case opportunities to leverage SharePoint features with key stakeholders. • Manage/Maintain SharePoint site access, folder/site permissions, audience targeting, and group management/ownership. • Maintain mapping records (visual and lists) of related sites (Teams, Communication, Hub) their owners, assigned groups permissions, connections points. • Support SharePoint end-user training to align documentation with capabilities, both for technical and non-technical users. • Develop reporting capabilities that provide insights for operational and security improvements. Requirements: • Minimum of 5 years of experience in information architecture, with a focus on complex SharePoint architecture including hub sites, communication sites and interconnected document libraries. • Proficiency in SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, and related technologies. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely. • Experience with SharePoint customization and automation, including the use of PowerApps, Flow, lists, etc. • Knowledge of accessibility standards and WCAG best practices Additional Information: Candidates may need to pass a drug and/or background check.
