Brief Description The data strategist internship is built for students seeking to explore the world of data used to inform advertising audiences and strategies and to measure marketing performance. You will use consumer research tools; business intelligence platforms; and analytics tools like Alteryx, Python, and advanced Excel. You will be part of the Analytics & Insights team and work on projects with teams from across TRG’s strategy groups to better understand how the industry works and how Analytics & Insights plays a role. This is a fantastic opportunity for a data-minded strategist. What You’ll Be Doing • Work closely with the Analytics & Insights team to assist in consumer and market analysis using tools like Alteryx, Python/R, and Excel • Collaborate with team members to conduct statistical analyses and apply basic data-modeling techniques to extract insights from client data • Assist in developing and maintaining data visualizations and dashboards to communicate advertising effectiveness to internal teams and clients • Support the development and implementation of analytical frameworks and methodologies for market and consumer decision-sciences projects • Contribute to market research efforts, data mining, and data enrichment to support strategic initiatives • Participate in cross-functional projects and workshops to brainstorm, explore new data-driven opportunities, and present recommendations • Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in data analytics, decision sciences, and marketing insights • Collect and organize data from various sources for analysis • Analyze data sets to identify trends, actionable marketing insights, and opportunities for improving advertising efficiency What You’re Good At • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Being a thought-partner for managers and executives by bridging market trends to their specific challenges, dynamics, limitations, and ambitions • Eager to learn and collaborate in a fast-paced team environment • Collaborating and communicating effectively • High level of initiative and drive to learn new skills • Bringing fresh ways to approach data and tell stories with it What You Have In Your Background • Having or currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, marketing analytics, data science, computer science, or economics is preferred – or relevant industry experience • Basic knowledge of statistics, data analysis, and data-modeling concepts • Experience working with data and analytics tools such as Microsoft Excel/pivot tables, Salesforce, Python, or R
