Tiegerman is a non-profit organization that works with students and adults with developmental disabilities (preschool through adulthood). Tiegerman School consists of six campuses throughout Nassau and Queens. Tiegerman Community Services operates in Suffolk, Nassau and Queens. This position will be based out of our Glen Cove, NY location. This is a full time position (in-person) with benefits eligibility. We are seeking a highly skilled Network Administrator with strong experience in network infrastructure, system administration, enterprise security, and cloud integration. This role is responsible for managing both on-premises and cloud-based environments, including installations, configurations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, group policy management, networking, and cybersecurity best practices. Candidates currently serving under or those who possess the Nassau or Suffolk County Civil Service title of Network and System Administrator are encouraged to apply and will be considered strong matches for the role. Key Responsibilities: • Administer Active Directory: manage domains, Group Policy Objects, and user provisioning • Monitor and maintain system and network performance; perform preventive maintenance • Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and VoIP systems (Ring • Design and deploy secure LAN/WAN solutions and implement firewall rules, IDS/IPS, and SIEM tools • Manage Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams) and associated security/compliance settings • Oversee patching, upgrades, and system updates across server and client infrastructure • Coordinate cloud storage migrations (e.g., OneDrive, SharePoint, Azure Files) • Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to support infrastructure projects and enhancements • Analyze vendor solutions and make recommendations to improve operational efficiency • Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation • Assist with ticket escalation from Level 1 Technicians Core Competencies: • Advanced understanding of networking (TCP/IP, routing, switching) • Strong skills in Microsoft 365 administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy • Proficiency with Cisco hardware and network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM) • Experience with cloud integration and secure authentication mechanisms • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects Minimum Qualifications: Education: • Option A: Bachelor’s degree with 12+ IT-related credits and 4 years of relevant experience • Option B: High school diploma/GED and 8 years of relevant network/system experience Experience: • At least 5 years of relevant experience in the last 6 years. • Minimum of 4 years in: • Microsoft 365 administration, Intune and security • Network configuration, management, testing and root cause analysis • Active Directory and Group Policy • Routing, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM tools • VoIP and wireless technologies in large-scale environments Preferred Certifications: • Microsoft 365 Security Administrator Associate • Cisco CCNP or CCDP • CompTIA Security+, Network+, or equivalent Tiegerman is an EEO and AA employer Job Type: Full-time Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Employee assistance program • Employee discount • Flexible spending account • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Referral program • Retirement plan • Vision insurance Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Monday to Friday Ability to Commute: • Glen Cove, NY 11542 (Required) Ability to Relocate: • Glen Cove, NY 11542: Relocate before starting work (Preferred) Work Location: In person
