Position Summary Canadian Solar Inc.'s Corporate IT department delivers critical enterprise-wide IT systems and services. As a member of the Corporate IT Infrastructure team, the Senior IT Network Administrator is responsible for managing daily operations to ensure Canadian Solar's data and assets are available, reliable, and secure across a global environment. The incumbent will lead and support IT network infrastructure projects, contributing to the growth of a global organization while ensuring system performance, scalability, and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Infrastructure & Systems Management • Administer and support enterprise IT infrastructure including networking, servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS). • Lead the planning, deployment, and administration of global WAN/LAN network infrastructure including SASE, VPN, SD-WAN, and firewalls. • Monitor network performance, system availability, and implement proactive maintenance and optimization strategies. • Design, deploy, and manage wired and wireless network infrastructure at offices and branches. • Ensure backup, failover, and disaster recovery systems are in place and tested in alignment with business continuity requirements. Security & Compliance • Ensure security technologies are properly configured and monitored. • Enforce IT governance through security policies, risk management practices, and regulatory compliance. • Identify and assess trends in infrastructure security, architecture, and operations. Project Management • Lead and coordinate IT infrastructure projects including cloud migrations, data center upgrades, network expansions, and acquisitions/integration efforts. • Collaborate with internal business units, global teams, and vendors to define scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables. • Apply formal project management methodologies to track progress and manage change. • Provide regular project updates and documentation to stakeholders. Operational Support • Provide Level 2 and 3 support and guidance for infrastructure-related incidents and escalations. • Follow standard change control, ticketing, and incident management processes. • Ensure all incidents and service requests are logged, tracked, and resolved according to SLAs. • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, network diagrams, and recovery protocols. Collaboration & Leadership • Serve as technical lead for infrastructure and security-related initiatives. • Mentor junior staff and provide knowledge transfer to team members. • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Stay current with emerging technologies and assess their value to the organization. Qualifications: Experience • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in network and infrastructure administration, ideally in a global manufacturing or enterprise environment. • Expertise in Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, switching, and wireless network management (Fortinet experience is an asset). • Experience managing network connectivity across on-premises, Microsoft Azure, AWS, and other cloud platforms. • Proficiency with Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions such as Netskope, Zscaler, or Cato Networks. • Deep understanding of IT operations, including ticketing systems, change control, and security best practices. • Experience with on-prem to cloud migrations and post-merger IT integration is highly valued. • Skilled in documenting systems and processes for internal knowledge sharing. • Familiarity with formal project management and stakeholder collaboration methods. Technical Proficiencies • Deep understanding of Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Cisco network solutions. • Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS architecture and administration. • Working knowledge with Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory (Entra), Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), BitLocker, and Autopilot. • Experience with Windows Server management, patching, and lifecycle support. • Scripting and automation using PowerShell or similar tools. • Backup solutions and disaster recovery planning for hybrid environments. Education & Certifications • A three-year diploma or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Certifications from Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), Fortinet (NSE), and/or Microsoft (Azure Administrator/Architect) are desirable. Compensation & Benefits: Canadian Solar offers a competitive salary plus fully comprehensive benefits and performance bonus package based on an annual objective achievement. Our generous benefits package includes a Retirement Plan, medical/dental/life/disability program, PTO and sick days. The pay range for this position is $75,000 - $110,000. This range represents annual base salary only, without regard to location, and does not include bonus or other incentives or benefits that may apply. The pay range for this role is subject to change.
