Salary: $130,000 - $180,000 ABOUT US MetaRouter is a customer data streaming platform for large, security-conscious enterprises. Customers can deploy our entire platform within their own private cloud (VPC) or on ours (PaaS), empowering full, 1st-party control over their data schema and compliance measures from the start. MetaRouters platform also enables fully configurable server-side integration with third-party tools of all kinds, reducing the performance and security challenges created by unregulated vendor libraries, while dramatically improving data reliability and consistency. THE ROLE: Software Engineer - Specialist Level - Integrations The primary objective of the Integrations Team is to develop and grow our Playbook system. Our Playbook defines how we integrate incoming customer data with 3rd-party APIs and tools, enabling our customers to configure those connections. This Software engineer will be embedded in the Integrations Team. This role will require you to work closely with Product and our Integrations team to incorporate new downstream APIs into the Playbook ecosystem. You will continually optimize our configuration models and devops systems around Playbooks. You will also be regularly asked to contribute to experimentation and solutioning for specific Enterprise customer implementations using these Playbooks. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES • Help model our streaming data system. Work closely with Product to create efficient and clear abstractions onto our transform and connect Streaming data model. • Support and guide Integration Engineers who actually build and test new integrations to ensure best practice and quality. • Participate in planning/sprints. Design and lead projects from inception to implementation. Specialist engineers seek to define foreseen and unforeseen Product requirements, expertly develop solution plans, and create tasks to incrementally roll out small (2-3 engineers working over several sprints) initiatives. • Collaborating with Product to develop new technologies for MetaRouters client-side, server-side, and mobile analytics SDKs, and their associated modules. • Work closely with the implementation teams to ensure capabilities and customizations are assured for Enterprise implementations. • Design and implement integrations with marketing and advertising platforms including Google Analytics, Google Ads, Campaign Manager 360 (CM360), Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising platforms, and Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs) TO HIT THE GROUND RUNNING • 5+ years software engineering experience - experience with the entire software development life cycle from planning and designing to implementation and maintenance. Strong experience with testing automation. Solid understanding of data modeling principles. • 3+ years production TypeScript/JavaScript development - proven ability to write, debug, and maintain client-side code for tag management, event tracking, and data layer implementations • 2+ years of experience with Golang - or similar functional programming language. • Familiarity with Cloud Architecture and Data Engineering tools - AWS, GCP, Azure, Ingress, DNS, Cert-Management, Load-Balancing, Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, Python, GoLang, Spark, Kafka, Pub/Sub, Kinesis, ETL systems, databases, data warehouses, etc. • Strong collaboration and verbal communication skills - able to effectively collaborate with the engineering team, through implementation designs and sprint planning and execution. • Deep understanding of browser environments including cookies, local storage, http request/response cycles, call-stack behavior, and client-side debugging tools • Ensure data accuracy and reliability across conversion tracking, campaign measurement, and attribution pipelines BONUS ROUND • Adtech / Martech experience. Familiarity with Adtech including the RTB ecosystem, Facebook, Google Marketing Platform, and common patterns for API integration with these and similar tools. • Product Analytics tooling experience. Familiarity with product analytic implementation like Amplitude, Pendo, and common patterns for API integration with these and similar tools. • Mobile and Server SDK development experience. Familiarity with building and distribution IOS and Android applications, and common server-side environments.
