Power BI Developer, Global job at Vantage Data Centers. Denver, CO. Position Overview Vantage is looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to add to the IT Digital Products team. This BI Developer will design, build, and maintain BI Reports, Application and Data Solutions. You will also be a key driver in the implementation of Power BI Center of Excellence, governance, data strategy and well-defined database practices aligned with Technology & Systems strategic priorities. The IT Digital Products team includes the following areas: Enterprise Architecture, Custom Digital Solutions, Integrations, Enterprise Data Management (EDM), Sophisticated analytics, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA). As a key contributor this position will interface regularly with technology leaders and internal groups such Operations and Sales. The ability to influence and foster consensus across teams at all organizational levels is essential to be successful in this role. A good understanding of business processes, challenges and goals is required to provide insightful ideas and creative solutions when faced with issues. The role will suit someone who is forward-thinking and can navigate obstacles well. This position will be based on-site at our office in Denver, CO. in alignment with our flexible work policy. (3 days on site required, 2 days flexible). Essential Job Functions Write Data and Reporting solutions using modern SaaS and PaaS cloud services. Perform Power BI platform assessment for secure, scalable, and cost-effective report deployments, identify gaps in existing BI Platform, and recommend changes or improvements. Coach Power BI developers about best practices. Create and maintains existing databases. Participate in risk assessments for modern technologies and projects. Positive, Energetic and a great teammate. Passionate about application and data solutions. Job Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in Power BI and data architecture. Demonstrable understanding of any Power BI Reports and Power BI Admin Portal. Good Understanding of Power BI licensing, Embedded Power BI, Power BI Pipelines, Fabric, and Premium Capacity. Good understanding of any visual types, data modelling and ETL pipelines. Strong data source analysis skills to locate data and business rules. Experience delivering solutions and insights on the Microsoft Azure platform with exposure to Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, PostgreSQL, Azure SQL DB, Power BI or Azure ADLS Gen2. Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using DevOps tools in Github/Azure DevOps. Experience with Data Modeling - Dimension and Facts tables, snowflake schema. Broad knowledge of internet protocols, firewalls, proxies. Experienced communication and interpersonal skills with ability to multi-task and quickly contribute in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools such as JIRA, MS Project Bilingual in either English/French or English/German would be highly desirable but not required. Functions of this position are to be performed in a company-designated office or field location in-line with the company flexible working policy, minimum of 2 days a week.
