Microsoft’s Commercial Product Infrastructure Team (CPI) team is an exciting and fast-evolving finance team at the forefront of Microsoft’s Cloud-first strategy. The Data and Built on Azure team’s charter is to optimize gross margin for Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) portfolios. As a crucial member of the team, you’ll also support long term bets and drive competitive intelligence to keep Microsoft Cloud ahead of competition. All while enhancing transparency into Cloud Infrastructure investments, safeguarding shareholder interest. • *Responsibilities** We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Finance Manager - to partner with engineering and business leaders to deeply understand, influence, and optimize margins in Azure. To be successful, the individual needs to be highly collaborative, self-motivated and curious. + Lead day-to-day partnership with engineering to drive best-in-class profitability by deeply understanding the economics of the products and driving unit cost down for the portfolio. + Lead the efficiency forum in partnership with engineering Leadership Team + Partner with revenue business health / planning teams and engineering partners to drive towards north star margin goals + Partner with the engineering and product marketing teams to support new product launches as the gross margin Subject Matter Expert (SME) + Manage financial health through defined Objectives Key Results (OKRs) and Profit & Loss financial statements. Flag risks and opportunities in a timely manner and drive execution to address. + Partner across finance orgs, including revenue planning, infrastructure, Research & Development, and Financial Planning & Analysis to drive results. + Articulate findings into high quality communications and facilitate executive decision making across Cloud +Engineering business and finance executive leaders. • *Qualifications** • *Required/Minimum Qualifications:** + Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field + OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field + OR equivalent experience. + 1+ year(s) experience in a multinational company with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles. • *Additional or Preferred Qualifications:** + Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience + OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience + OR equivalent experience. + 1+ year(s) work experience in matrix-based organization. + 1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry. + Demonstrated deep analytical and modeling experience. + Able to communicate clearly in both writing and verbally across all levels of the organization. Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
