Required qualifications: • Min 6 years with HS Diploma, 4 years with AS/AA degree, or 2 years with BS/BA • A DoD TS/SCI clearance is required. • A minimum of 1 years of related experience as a Systems Administrator • DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II • Highly desirable: Microsoft Associate level certification Peraton requires Systems Administrators to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. This position is located in Arlington, VA. The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract(SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs),and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365. Duties include but are not limited to: • Provides support to systems hosting complex operational databases, software configuration control, and system interfaces for computer systems. • Performs tier one and two network and systems support in accordance with the SIE OPORD. • Supports 3 sites. JIATF, Crystal city, and Pentagon, Washington Office. Can work at any of those sites for long term periods. • Assists with IT equipment accountability to include the AF 1297 hand receipt process. • Ensures incidents and change requests reflecting work are routinely updated to comply with service level agreements. • Maintains file servers, network access, documents, analyzes and troubleshoots systems anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance. • Images workstations and laptops to operational specifications. Tests image to ensure functionality. • Studies program operating instructions to determine equipment setup and operations. • Monitors the operation of assigned applications and storage devices and determines the point of hardware or software failure. • Troubleshoots and configures systems in accordance with standard procedures to continue operations when individual units of a system malfunction. • Maintains operating records such as machine performance and production reports. • Installs operating system software, patches, and upgrades. • Analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves system hardware, software, and networking issues. • Configures, optimizes, fine-tunes, and monitoring operating system software and hardware. • Performs system backups and recovery. • Develops and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs). • Troubleshoots and proactively resolves technical issues for individual users. • Installs, configures and maintains customer desktops and laptop PCs, mobile devices and peripherals, such as printers. • Identifies and removes end-of-life and end-of-support equipment and performs data migration to new machines.
