We are seeking a skilled and proactive Server Administrator to join our team. This role demands hands-on experience with all aspects of server operations—including virtualization, cloud platforms (Azure and AWS), and on-premise systems. The ideal candidate will be equally adept at deploying new server environments and maintaining existing systems, with strong diagnostic skills and a keen attention to detail. This position requires excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced MSP environment. Key Responsibilities • Configure, install, and manage physical and virtual servers (Windows Server, Linux) • Maintain and optimize server infrastructure across hybrid environments (on-prem, Azure, AWS) • Diagnose and resolve server performance issues, service failures, and network dependencies • Implement and monitor server backup, disaster recovery, and failover systems • Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and server-based services • Manage virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware) including resource allocation and VM provisioning • Collaborate with engineering, support, and security teams to ensure system integrity and compliance • Document server builds, changes, incidents, and procedures within the ticketing system • Participate in patch management, vulnerability remediation, and routine maintenance windows • Respond to and resolve escalated service tickets and infrastructure incidents • Adhere to security and compliance standards (HIPAA, SOC 2, etc.) • Stay up to date on emerging technologies and recommend improvements or upgrades Qualifications Must-Haves • 3+ years of direct experience with server administration in a hybrid or cloud-based environment • Strong knowledge of both Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) platforms • Hands-on experience configuring and managing virtual servers (VMware, Hyper-V) • Proficiency with Windows Server roles and services (AD, DNS, DHCP, File/Print, RDS) • Comfort with scripting or automation tools • Experience with ticketing systems • Solid troubleshooting skills in fast-paced, high-priority environments • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Team-oriented mindset with ability to handle concurrent priorities Preferred • Industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, CompTIA Server+) • Experience working in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) or multi-tenant environment • Exposure to compliance and auditing frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, CMMC, NIST) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Health savings account • Life insurance • Paid time off • Parental leave • Vision insurance Schedule: • Monday to Friday Experience: • Server administration: 3 years (Preferred) Language: • English (Required) Ability to Commute: • Crestview Hills, KY (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: • Crestview Hills, KY: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: Hybrid remote in Crestview Hills, KY
