Responsibilities Peraton requires a Systems Administrator to support the Special Operations Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3. This position is located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL. The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365. The Systems Administrator plays a pivotal role within our IT Infrastructure team, leveraging technical expertise in data systems, security procedures, and both hardware and software management. Duties include but are not limited to: • Installing operating system software, patches, and upgrades at multiple locations • Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving system hardware, software, and networking issues • Configuring, optimizing, fine-tuning, and monitoring operating system software and hardware • Performing system backups and recovery • Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures for conducting server host and virtual machine builds on prem and cloud environments • Completing troubleshooting issues related to Horizon VDI components • Maintaining file servers, network access • Troubleshooting and documenting systems anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance • Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures for VDI Environment Qualifications Required qualifications: • Min 12 years with HS Diploma, 10 years with AS/AA degree, 8 years with BS/BA, 6 years with MS/MA, or 3 years with PHD • Experience as a Systems Administrator or experience supporting complex end user desktop and mobile device support. • Providing Systems Administrator support to systems hosting complex operational databases, software configuration control, and system interfaces for computer systems • DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II • TS/SCI clearance is required Desired qualifications: • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (highly desired) • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification • VMware Certified Associate (VCA) • AWS Sys Ops Administrator Associate Microsoft Endpoint Manager OR previous SCCM certifications • Nutanix Certified Professional OR Microsoft Endpoint Manager OR previous SCCM certifications #SITEC2025 Peraton Overview Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Target Salary Range $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
