Job Title: Senior Power BI Developer Location: Houston, TX. We are currently partnering with a client to fill a Senior Power BI Developer role on a contract basis. This is a great opportunity for candidates who excel at transforming complex datasets into actionable insights and intuitive visualizations. The position involves working closely with business teams to gather requirements and develop advanced reporting solutions using Power BI, DAX, SQL, and Python. The ideal candidate will not only create visually appealing dashboards but also ensure that data pipelines are efficient, accurate, and aligned with business goals. What the role entails: • Designing and delivering high-performing dashboards and reports that are easy to use and scalable • Developing calculated measures and business logic with DAX to support advanced analytics • Writing and optimizing SQL queries to extract and prepare data • Leveraging Python for data integration, automation, and advanced analysis • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand needs and build tailored solutions • Ensuring data quality and troubleshooting issues to maintain reliability • Mentoring junior team members and contributing to best practices around analytics and visualization What we are looking for: 7+ years of experience in analytics or business intelligence, with at least 5 years focused on Power BI Strong hands-on skills with DAX, Power Query, and data modeling techniques Solid experience in writing SQL queries and tuning them for performance Ability to use Python to automate processes and support advanced analytics A deep understanding of how data is structured, stored, and transformed Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with business users Bonus experience: Working with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Familiarity with CI/CD practices for BI tools Exposure to AI or machine learning workflows integrated into analytics If you have candidates who meet these qualifications and are looking for a challenging and rewarding role, please share their resumes with us.
