Title: Data Analytics -Power BI Engineer (only W2 Position – No C2C Accepted) 9.5.25 Description: STG is a SEI CMMi Level 5 company with several Fortune 500 and State Government clients. STG has an opening forData Analytics -Power BI Engineer. Please note that this project assignment is with our own direct clients. We do not go through any vendors. STG only does business with direct end clients. This is expected to be a long-term position. STG will provide immigration and permanent residency sponsorship assistance to those candidates who need it. Position Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Analytics Engineer to join our growing data team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data models and solutions using Microsoft Fabric, dbt (data build tool), and Power BI. You will play a critical role in transforming raw data into clean, reliable, and analytics-ready datasets that empower business users and data scientists across the organization. Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement scalable data models and transformations using dbt within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. • Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver high-quality datasets. • Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance through testing, documentation, and version control. • Optimize performance of data transformations and queries across large datasets. • Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows and proactively resolve issues. • Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for data modeling, transformation, and source control. Required Qualifications: • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related field. • Proficiency with dbt (Core or Cloud) for data transformation and modeling. • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Power BI artifacts. • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large-scale data warehouses or lakehouses. • Familiarity with Git-based version control and CI/CD practices. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication and collaboration skills. • Experience with Power BI semantic models and DAX. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with one of the data models for SAP ECC, Oracle EBS, and/or QAD strongly preferred. • Will not have BA in the team, person should be able to extract requirements directly from the business. • Experience with data models for Salesforce, GetPaid, iNexus, Concur, SAP S4/HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Planning (PBCS). • Knowledge of data governance, lineage, and observability tools. • Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages. • Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments. Education Required: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in computer science, engineering or related disciplines Data Analytics -Power BI Engineer is based in Dearborn, MI.
