Skills and experiences • Proven experience in leading data migrations for ERP systems, ideally D365 F&O, with deep knowledge of data models, mapping, and transformation techniques. • Skilled in ETL tools, SQL, data validation, and reconciliation processes. Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or similar. • Knowledge of business processes in Finance & Operations and how data supports these processes. • Experience managing migration workstreams, timelines, and deliverables in complex, multi-phase projects. • Strong consulting skills, able to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and manage client expectations. • Experience working with distributed teams, including offshore and nearshore resources. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to present complex information clearly and confidently. What you'll do • Own the end-to-end migration lifecycle, including planning, mapping, extraction, transformation, validation, and loading of data from legacy systems to D365 F&O. • Establish and document standards for data migration within the D365 framework, ensuring repeatable, high-quality outcomes. • Design, implement, and optimise ETL pipelines using industry-standard tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake) to move data efficiently and securely. • Create frameworks and tools to validate migrated data, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure auditability and trust in migration outcomes. • Work with cross-functional teams (functional consultants, technical architects, developers, testers) to ensure alignment and successful delivery. • Coordinate offshore and nearshore resources, ensuring clear communication, effective task allocation, and quality control. • Assess legacy data sources, identify potential migration challenges, and provide proactive solutions to clients. • Act as the primary point of contact for all data migration matters, building trust and providing expert guidance.
