Job Title: Data Analyst / BI Developer Location: Oakland, CA (Hybrid) Type: Contract Key Responsibilities • Extract, clean, and transform data using tools such as SQL, Python, or Power Query. • Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel. • Automate data workflows and reporting processes to enhance efficiency, consistency, and accuracy. • Conduct data analysis to uncover trends, insights, and business opportunities that support strategic decision-making. • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver effective data-driven solutions. • Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all reporting platforms and datasets. • Continuously improve data collection, transformation, and visualization processes to support scalability and business growth. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or reporting. • Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel (advanced formulas, Power Query, macros), and Python for data automation. • Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI and visualization tools. • Solid understanding of ETL processes and data management best practices. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Skills • Experience automating reporting pipelines using Python or Power Automate. • Knowledge of cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP. • Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git). • Strong understanding of business metrics and KPI reporting frameworks.
