Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Principal Information Security Engineer to join their elite, fully remote security operations team. This senior-level position will be at the forefront of protecting our digital assets and sensitive information from evolving cyber threats. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing advanced security solutions, conducting threat assessments, and leading incident response initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in a wide range of security domains, including network security, endpoint protection, cloud security, and vulnerability management. A deep understanding of security frameworks, compliance standards, and incident response protocols is essential. Key Responsibilities: Develop, deploy, and maintain enterprise-level security infrastructure, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions. Lead vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis activities across the organization. Design and implement security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2). Investigate and respond to security incidents, performing forensic analysis and coordinating remediation efforts. Architect and implement secure cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and ensure data protection in cloud platforms. Develop and manage security awareness training programs for employees. Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions to enhance the organization's security posture. Collaborate with IT operations, development, and business units to integrate security best practices into all aspects of the technology lifecycle. Mentor junior security engineers and provide technical leadership. Stay current with the latest threat intelligence, attack vectors, and mitigation strategies. Develop and maintain comprehensive security documentation, playbooks, and runbooks. Represent the security team in cross-functional project meetings.
