We are seeking an Associate Azure Data Engineer to design, optimize, and govern enterprise-scale data platforms across the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. This is an opportunity to shape how data is ingested, catalogued, governed, and activated for advanced analytics and AI-driven initiatives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. This role is not a back-office support position — it is front and center, where data engineering drives business outcomes. You will work across Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Purview, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake Storage, and Azure SQL to deliver data architectures that are secure, scalable, and built for speed. What you’ll do • Pipeline Development – Design, build, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines across Fabric, Purview, and Databricks, enabling seamless, cost-efficient ingestion and transformation. • Governance & Compliance – Implement enterprise-grade governance with Purview, including lineage tracking, data cataloging, compliance frameworks, and metadata management. • Data Architecture – Develop and maintain data models (star, snowflake, normalized schemas) to support BI, reporting, and advanced analytics. • Interoperability – Enable unified workflows between Databricks and Fabric; integrate with Azure DevOps (CI/CD, Git) for deployment and monitoring. • AI-Ready Foundations – Partner with analytics and data science teams to prepare pipelines for Generative AI and LLM integration using OpenAI, Hugging Face, and LLaMa. What sets you apart • 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer with hands-on delivery in Azure cloud. • Strong skills in SQL, Python, PySpark with experience in Databricks, Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory, ADLS, Azure SQL Database. • Proven track record of implementing data governance, cataloging, and compliance frameworks. • Familiarity with data DevOps (CI/CD pipelines, testing, Git versioning) and Power BI integration. • Experience enabling interoperability across Microsoft Fabric and Databricks is highly desirable.
