365 and Network Administrator Description: Ascend Nonprofit Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Microsoft 365 and Network Administrator to join our innovative 365 Administrative team. The position is primarily onsite with some hybrid flexibility. Ascend NPS provides IT strategy, design, management, and support for nonprofit organizations in the Carolinas. Responsibilities: Customer Service: • Build and maintain positive and supportive relationships with co-workers, nonprofit partners, and vendors. • Provide Tier 2/3 support for service tickets, including serving as an escalation point for Tier 1 service desk personnel. • Support the team by providing superior customer service. Network and System Administration: • Strategically maintain: • HIPAA-compliant 365 infrastructure for Ascend client agencies. (Well-rounded across Entra ID, Exchange, SharePoint, Defender, Teams, Intune) • Manage endpoint configuration and policies via RMM, Intune, and security tools • * On-premise switching and network infrastructure (Cisco Command Line, VLAN, SD-WAN). • Computer, server, and storage systems (VMware, Microsoft Servers). • Firewall, DMZ, and VPN systems (Cisco, SonicWALL, FortiGATE). • Phone, Voice, VOIP systems. System Design: • Assist in the Design, implementation, and management of network operations, including: • Hosted 365 environments for client agencies. • On-premise Windows Server environments. • On-premise VMware Server environments. • Co-Lead in the migration of clients to 365 tenants. System Security and Stability: • Maintain up-to-date and accurate system/network documentation. • Ensure appropriate backup of all systems. • Ensure appropriate monitoring of all systems. • Ensure systems are appropriately updated and patched. • Ensure network security systems compliance (IPS, AV, HIPAA, FERPA). Required Experience • 3+ years of relevant experience designing and supporting Microsoft 365 environments as an administrator. • Experience in designing and executing numerous (over 10 minimally) migrations to 365 from various sources. Source examples: On-premises Windows Server environments, Google Workspace environments, or other 365 tenants. • 2+ years of experience with basic network administration (Switch configuration, firewall policies, load balancing, wireless access points, etc.) • 2+ years of experience scripting with PowerShell and common OS command-line tools • 3+ years of relevant experience designing and supporting Microsoft Windows environments. • 3+ years of relevant experience designing and supporting virtual server environments. • Advanced knowledge of Windows servers, Active Directory, ADFS, GPOs in a Windows Server 2016+ environment. • Relevant certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, CCNA, VCP, AWS, CISSP, CISM, etc.) • Valid Driver's License and automobile insurance, own transportation, and the ability to travel throughout the community. • US Citizen or active Green Card holder.
