Title: DevOps Engineer Specialist Location: Plano, TX (Onsite) Type: Contract Position General Duties And Tasks : • Day to Day job Duties: (what this person will do on a daily/weekly basis) • Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure infrastructure (on-premises, cloud, or hybrid). • Manage infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar. • Monitor systems to ensure availability, performance, and security. • Automate repetitive tasks and improve CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with development teams. • Manage cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP) including compute, storage, networking, and security. • Maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes. • Provide support for incidents, root cause analysis, and problem resolution. • Maintain documentation for infrastructure architecture, processes, and procedures. • Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects. Basic Qualifications: (what are the skills required to this job with minimum years of experience on each) • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • 6+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, system administration, or DevOps roles. • Proficiency with Linux/Unix and Windows-based systems. • Experience with cloud services (Azure, GCP). • Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls). • Hands-on experience with scripting (Bash, PowerShell, etc.). • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). • Familiarity with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools. Key Skills: • Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible • Containerization and Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes • Scripting Languages: Bash, PowerShell • Version Control Tools: Git, GitHub, GitLab • CI/CD & Deployment Tools: ArgoCD, Azure DevOps • Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Firewalls, Load Balancers, VPC, Subnets • Security and Compliance: IAM, Role-based Access Control (RBAC), Key Vault, Cloud Security Policies • Databases: Alloy DB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server • Travel: NA. • Degree: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field. • Nice to Have; (But not a must) • GCP or Java certifications are preferred.
