IT Network and Systems Administrator – Junior to Mid-Level
Responsibilities:
· Administration of AWS cloud technologies
· Install, configure and maintain network components such as switches, firewalls and wireless devices.
· Support and participate in service desk everyday tasks relating to business functions.
· Ensure the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, virtualized systems, and network equipment.
· Handle user onboarding and offboarding.
· Troubleshoot hardware and software errors, document problems and resolutions, prioritize problems, and assess impact.
· Collaborate with IT leadership to plan and implement new infrastructure or upgrades.
· Responsible for capacity storage planning and network performance.
· Perform periodic bandwidth testing and optimize network connectivity.
· Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
· Work with third-party vendors on Cyber Security projects, including penetration tests, server patches, desktop/laptop patches, and network configuration.
Requirements (US based Experience preferred):
· Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, System Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
· Minimum of 2 to 3 years of network administration in the US.
· Minimum of 1 or 2 years of AWS cloud administration experience in the US.
· Minimum of 1 or 2 years of experience with firewalls, switches, routers, VPNs, remote management, troubleshooting, and problem resolution in the US.
· Minimum of 1 or 2 years of experience providing basic helpdesk troubleshooting and problem solving.
· Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
· Experience with scripting and automation tools.
· Proven track record of implementing IT projects.
· Knowledge of helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.
· Penetration testing experience is a plus.
· System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, Cisco, or other network-related fields are a plus.
· AWS/Azure System Admin Certifications are a plus.
· CompTIA+ and/or CCNA certifications are a plus.
