Title: Senior Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Location: MOUNT LAUREL, NJ Type: Contract to Permanent Job #: 21015 Note: This job is (not) open to C2C or 3rd party candidates. Position Information: Our client is seeking a talented Senior Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. Responsibilities: • Design scalable, secure Azure cloud infrastructure (compute, storage, networking, containers) • Implement security baselines, access controls, patching, and compliance (ISO, PCI, GDPR, FTC) • Act as Azure SME; provide technical guidance and thought leadership • Collaborate with stakeholders to align cloud solutions with business needs • Mentor junior engineers and upskill on-prem team • Use tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet for automation • Streamline operations and improve performance • Lead cost optimization and FinOps initiatives • Troubleshoot critical Azure issues • Maintain uptime and perform change management • Document and transition support activities • Work with DevOps, Security, Networking, and Infrastructure teams • Participate in strategic planning and roadmap development Requirements: • 5–7 years in enterprise cloud environments • Deep Azure knowledge; AWS exposure is a plus • Strong scripting (PowerShell, Python) and automation experience • Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) required • Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-303/304) preferred • Networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs) • Virtualization and containerization • CI/CD with Azure DevOps (ADO) • Strong communication and collaboration • Customer service mindset • Ability to lead projects and work independently Additional Information: Candidates may need to pass a drug and/or background check.
