We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Release Engineer with extensive knowledge in Release Management and DevOps. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to work effectively with organizational leaders, effectively communicating status updates on programs and projects. Experience with tools such as Python scripting, Jira, iTrack & Confluence are required. Experience in SharePoint, PowerPoint, Wiki, and the ability to create Power BI dashboards is highly desirable. What You’ll Do: • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and Git workflows to automate build, test, and deployment. • Coordinate and execute release activities, managing dependencies, risks, and schedules across teams. • Troubleshoot deployment issues, perform root cause analysis, and facilitate fixes to ensure reliable releases. • Maintain release documentation, manage processes, and continuously recommend improvements. Key Qualifications: DevOps Experience • Demonstrated hands-on experience with DevOps practices, tools, and workflows (such as CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, monitoring, and deployment). • Proficiency with tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms. • Experience managing and optimizing deployment pipelines for cloud and on-premises environments. • Solid understanding of release orchestration, version control systems (e.g., Git), and branching strategies. Automation Skills • Strong background in automating manual processes and workflows using scripting languages or automation frameworks (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform, etc.). • Ability to design, implement, and maintain automation solutions for build, release, and environment management. • Proven experience in reducing manual intervention and improving reliability through automation. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Experience • Practical experience applying AI tools or platforms to streamline, optimize, or enhance DevOps, release management, or operational workflows (excluding machine learning). • Hands-on experience integrating AI-driven solutions (such as chatbots, intelligent assistants, predictive analytics, or generative AI) into automation or software delivery processes. • Familiarity with AI platforms and services (e.g., Azure AI, AWS AI Services, Google AI, OpenAI, or similar). • Understanding of prompt engineering or using generative AI for code generation, documentation, or process automation is a plus. Technical Proficiency: • Comprehensive understanding of various SDLC phases and how releases fit into the overall process. • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools and processes. Technical Skills: • 8+ years of proficiency in Python scripting and tools such as Jenkins, Git, Kubernetes are required (VB Scripting & SQL are also desirable). • Experience with Jira and Confluence are required • Experience with SharePoint, PowerPoint, Wiki, and the ability to create Power BI dashboards are highly desirable. • 5+ years of experience in CI/CD pipeline development, deployment engineering, or related roles required. • Strong hands-on skills with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git workflows, and scripting (Python). • Understanding of Java and Node.js microservices architecture, and Azure cloud fundamentals are desirable. Project Management Skills: • Ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate releases across multiple teams and projects. • Identifying potential risks and devising mitigation strategies. • Managing changes to the release scope, schedule, and resources. • Excellent project coordination and risk management abilities across complex releases. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: • Effective communication with stakeholders, including developers, testers, product managers, and senior management. • Ability to resolve conflicts and ensure smooth collaboration among different teams. • Proficient in documenting release plans, issues, and status reports. • Communicate release plans, timelines, and requirements clearly with stakeholders and leadership. • Lead release meetings, collaborate with development teams, and support on-call incident resolution. • Effective communication skills to engage technical teams and executive leadership. Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: • Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve issues that arise during the release process. • Attention to detail to ensure all aspects of the release are thoroughly checked and validated. Adaptability and Continuous Learning: • Ability to adapt to changing technologies, processes, and team dynamics. • Commitment to staying updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices. Experience and Education: • Typically requires 8 years of experience in release management, software development, or related fields. • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is often preferred. Secondary Skills and Experience (Desired): Design and Development: • Define and design subsystems and their interfaces. • Allocate responsibilities to subsystems. • Understand solution deployment and communicate requirements for interactions within the solution context. Technical Enablement: • Provide technical enablement for application components and subsystems. • Drive critical design decisions for the development team. Continuous Delivery Pipeline: • Participate in planning, defining, and designing the system solution. • Create and enable the Continuous Delivery Pipeline. Architectural Runway: • Develop the Architectural Runway to support new business features and capabilities. • Collaborate with portfolio stakeholders, Solution, and Enterprise Architects. Integration: • Understand technical characteristics and assist with the architectural integration of external components, systems, and platforms.
