Job Description Hyertek is seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect for a 4‑month contract engagement to design and deliver a model‑driven, Dataverse‑based application solution using Microsoft Power Platform. This role focuses on implementing a robust Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) framework, establishing solution layering standards, and ensuring security and governance compliance within a controlled enterprise environment. The architect will collaborate with our team and the customer’s technical and governance teams to define the architecture, implement managed solution releases, and produce structured documentation that supports repeatable, compliant deployments. Architecture & Design • Define the technical architecture and solution layering model (Core, Feature, and Configuration layers) for a multi‑environment Power Platform solution. • Design secure and scalable Dataverse schemas, including tables, relationships, forms, and business rules. • Establish a security and compliance framework, including role‑based and field‑level access controls, auditing, and data policies. • Review and enforce connector usage, environment configurations, and DLP policies to ensure adherence to enterprise standards. ALM Implementation • Lead implementation of a multi‑environment ALM strategy using Deployment Pipelines or Power Platform CLI automation. • Configure solution packaging, versioning, dependency management, and managed/unmanaged boundaries for repeatable, controlled releases. • Develop and maintain deployment scripts, environment variable definitions, and connection reference mappings. • Integrate quality gates (Solution Checker, dependency checks, and automated test harnesses) into release processes. Collaboration & Leadership • Partner with technical leads, developers, and compliance teams to align architectural design with governance requirements. • Provide hands‑on technical leadership and mentorship, guiding makers and developers in ALM and solution management best practices. • Lead design and review sessions to validate architecture, environment readiness, and deployment plans. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer • Produce structured documentation of architecture, ALM flow, deployment procedures, and version control practices. • Leverage Power Platform CLI and Solution Packager to create YAML‑based metadata exports and maintain solution artifacts in source control. • Support the creation of automated documentation workflows and release notes from metadata. Qualification Requirements • U.S. citizenship (required). • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (active clearance strongly desired). • 7+ years of professional experience in solution architecture, including at least 3 years with the Microsoft Power Platform (Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate). • Demonstrated experience implementing ALM best practices across Development, Test, and Production environments. • Proficiency with Power Platform CLI (PAC CLI), Azure Dev Ops, or equivalent CI/CD automation tooling. • In‑depth knowledge of role‑based access control, field‑level security, and auditing in Power Platform. • Strong understanding of data governance and environment policy management in secure or regulated settings. • Excellent communication skills and ability to produce precise technical documentation. • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-600) or equivalent certification. • Experience designing solutions in secure, compliance‑driven environments (e.g., government, defense, or critical infrastructure sectors). • Familiarity with Solution Checker, Configuration Migration Tool, and automated testing frameworks such as Easy Repro. • Experience working with YAML‑based documentation workflows and metadata‑driven documentation automation.
