Akkodis is seeking a Cloud Engineering Lead – Azure for a contract with a client in Chicago, IL(Remote). This role involves designing scalable cloud solutions, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and automating infrastructure using tools like Terraform and Azure DevOps. Rate Range: $50/hour to 53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Cloud Engineering Lead – Azure job responsibilities include: • Design and implement scalable cloud architectures using Azure services, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery. • Lead DevOps initiatives, including CI/CD pipeline setup, infrastructure automation with Terraform/ARM, and deployment optimization. • Provision and manage Azure IaaS and PaaS resources, such as virtual machines, databases, storage, and networking components. • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and applications, using tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and App Insights. • Provide technical leadership and mentorship, guiding team members and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud solutions. • Ensure security and compliance by applying best practices in identity management, access control, and cloud governance. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 5 years in Azure and DevOps practices. • Proven expertise in designing and deploying scalable Azure cloud solutions using IaaS, PaaS, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and ARM templates. • Strong leadership experience with the ability to guide teams, implement CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues in hybrid-cloud environments.
