Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, based on experience, you will be responsible for supporting end users, maintaining IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security of our systems. You will work closely with senior administrators to maintain and/or implement solutions that align with our business objectives while gaining hands-on experience in various technologies. Responsibilities • Assist in the administration of on premise and cloud systems, including Windows, O365 and virtual environments. • Email and data archive, backup and management. • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to software, operating systems, networking, and information security. • Participate in the deployment of new systems and applications including securing remote access via VPN and ZTNA. • Contribute to system design and architecture for new projects, including service-oriented architecture and microservices. • Assist in maintaining documentation for system configurations, procedures, and policies related to IT infrastructure management. Requirements • Industry Certifications and/or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred. • Familiarity with system administration concepts - primarily with Windows operating systems. Apple support experience a plus. • Basic understanding of computer networking principles including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls. • Experience with virtualization technologies such as HyperV and VMware ESXi is a plus. • Familiarity with cloud services such as Azure is advantageous. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
