We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Power BI Specialist to transform complex data into visually compelling stories. This role is crucial for driving data-driven decision-making across our organization, supporting a portfolio of over 70 projects. The ideal candidate will be a thought leader in data visualization, adept at pulling data from multiple sources, creating insightful dashboards, and recommending strategic actions based on data analysis.Key Responsibilities:Data Visualization & Storytelling:Design and develop interactive, visually appealing Power BI dashboards that effectively communicate complex data.Translate business requirements into technical solutions with minimal context, ensuring dashboards meet strategic objectives.Use advanced data visualization techniques to highlight trends, insights, and key performance indicators.Data Modeling & Analysis:Build and maintain robust data models that support portfolio management and business analytics.Utilize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) techniques to manage and process data from various sources.Conduct data analysis to identify patterns, inconsistencies, and opportunities for optimization.Strategic Thought Leadership:Provide innovative recommendations based on data insights to support strategic initiatives.Challenge the status quo with creative problem-solving approaches, leveraging tools like ChatGPT, industry forums, and personal expertise.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with business goals.Technical Expertise:Develop and execute SQL scripts for data extraction and manipulation.Integrate Power BI with SharePoint and other data sources for seamless reporting.Optimize dashboard performance and ensure data accuracy and security.Required Qualifications:Technical Skills:2-5 years of hands-on experience with Power BI, including dashboard creation and data modeling.Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and data manipulation techniques.Basic SQL scripting abilities for data querying and processing.Strong understanding of ETL processes and data integration techniques.Experience with SharePoint and data connectivity.Soft Skills:Motivated, proactive, and entrepreneurial in approach.Exceptional attention to detail with a passion for data storytelling.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a creative mindset to explore new data solutions.Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Ability to quickly adapt to new business environments and learn new tools or techniques.
