Role Summary We are seeking an Acquisitions Data Analyst to join our team in Miami, Florida (in-person, five days a week). In this entry-level role, you will report directly to our Finance & Development Associate and work closely with the Partners on high-impact projects. This is a dynamic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in early-stage real estate acquisitions and development, working on deals that range from affordable housing projects to luxury residential developments. Key Responsibilities • Land Acquisition Data Analysis: Perform data entry and analysis for early-stage land acquisition opportunities. Research property information, zoning regulations, market comparables, and demographic trends to support deal sourcing and site selection. • Financial Modeling & Underwriting: Build and maintain detailed financial models to underwrite potential real estate development deals. Assist in analyzing project feasibility and projected investment returns under various scenarios to inform go/no-go decisions. • AI-Powered Research: Leverage AI tools and analytics platforms to automate data gathering and enhance market research. Implement machine learning or advanced data analysis techniques to identify emerging market trends, optimize underwriting assumptions, and improve the efficiency of the acquisitions process. • Feasibility Studies & Investment Memos: Support the preparation of feasibility studies, business plans, and investment memoranda for proposed projects. Compile and organize data, prepare charts/graphs, and contribute to written reports that clearly communicate analysis results to the team and investors. • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with the finance, development, and acquisitions teams to share insights and refine assumptions. Coordinate with colleagues across departments to ensure data accuracy and align financial models with construction costs, design plans, and market strategies. • Executive Support: Interact directly with senior leadership – including Partners and the Finance & Development Associate – by presenting key analytical findings and providing data-driven recommendations on potential deals. Adapt quickly to ad-hoc requests and contribute to strategy meetings with a problem-solving mindset. Qualifications • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, economics, data science, or a related field (required). • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g. financial modeling, PivotTables); familiarity with SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools is a plus. • Real Estate Interest: Demonstrated interest in real estate development, acquisitions, or finance. (Prior internship or project experience in real estate finance is a bonus.) • Tech & AI Savvy: Eagerness to learn and use AI-driven analytical tools; able to quickly adopt new technologies to improve data analysis and market research. • Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail and accuracy when dealing with large datasets. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights and present findings effectively. • Team Player: Collaborative team player with a proactive attitude; comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and taking on diverse responsibilities as needed.
